Description
Green glass champagne bottle. This bottle has been completely "opalized": a process in which the exterior glass surface exfoliates the patinas through prolonged interaction of moisture with the soda and lime content of the silica in the glass. According to report by R. Paul Hampton Archaeological Consulting, Inc., this bottle dates to circa 1845 - 1860.
