Description
Photograph of drugstore, beauty salon, and automotive garage on the 5100 block of Central Avenue, September 1933. In the foreground at center, the wide, paved street of Central Ave. can be seen extending from left to right. Street car tracks are visible near the center of the street. Along the sidewalk in the background, three rectangular buildings can be seen. On the corner at left, a large drugstore with the sign "Drugs" above the store and along its front awning can be seen. Attached to the drugstore at right, a small salon with the sign "Izola Beauty Salon" is visible. The low, brick building at center is an automotive garage with signs such as "Avenue Garage" and "Brake Service." The building on the far right appears to be a retail store. A lamppost and utility pole can be seen along the sidewalk, and a single car is parked along the curb to the far left.
