Photograph of a view of Venice Beach with the pier in the background, ca.1910. The beach is in the foreground at left and is occupied by a small number of people. The ocean is at right, and a large wave is crashing violently on shore. The pier is visible in the distance at right and extends past the edge of the photograph from the shore. Several large buildings can be seen on the pier, and an old wooden sailing ship is visible near the middle of the wharf. A large, rectangular buildng can be seen in the distance at left.
