Students congregate at the entrance to the Science Building at Hollywood High School as shadows from palm trees drape over the stairs. The building was designed by the architectural firm of Marsh, Smith & Powell and was built in 1935 at a cost of $180,000. Merrell Gage sculpted the frieze.
