Description
Photograph of San Gabriel Dam construction, showing tanks on the side of a road, 1936. Two identical, oddly-shaped tanks stand on top of metal support frames on the left with a small platform above them and a winding dirt road to their left. What appears to be a metal walkway extends from the platform down to a wooden platform in the short, dirt hills on the right. Pieces of metal frame are scattered in the dust in front of the tanks while a lightly-colored tube extends over the hills behind it. Dark, tree-covered hills stand in the background.
