Photograph caption dated March 24, 1961 reads, "Robert N. Weed, publisher of the Valley Times TODAY, holds a statuette presented to the newspaper by the Crippled Children's Society of Los Angeles County in appreciation of the firm's editorial support of the 1961 Easter Seals campaign. The presentation was made by actress-singer Janet Blair, county campaign chairman, and Tommy Boyle, 9, the county's poster boy."
