Description
Photograph of a view of South Hill Street looking Northeast from just above 6th Street, showing the Hotel Portsmouth, ca.1920. Automobiles sit parked along both sides of the street that extends from the left foreground to the right distance. People crowd the sidewalk at right where the Hotel Portsmouth stands in the right foreground. Several streetcars can be seen in the middle of the street. In the left foreground, a three-lined area can be seen which appears to be a north-east corner of the Pershing Square. Tall buildings stand on either side of the street in the background. Legible signs inclide: "Roy C. Seeley Realtors", "Hotel Portsmouth", "Agents for this prop[...]", "454 Pacific Electr[i...]".
