This is a photograph of "the Memorial Chapel at Sancian [now Sangchuan] Island. High on the hill is a large statue of St. Francis. St. Francis died on the site of the chapel and for some time was entombed there. When the tomb was opened his body was found incorrupt. The chapel was built in 1863." The chapel sits on a mountain overlooking the river.
