Photograph article dated May 18, 1963 partially reads, "Mrs. Gordon Cooper, wife of our first 22-orbit astronaut, set a record of her own when she stopped in Los Angeles Friday en route to Honolulu to join her husband. She gave the briefest press conference in history." Here, Mrs. Gordon Cooper speaks very briefly with press corps. Flanking her are daughters Cam, 14, left, and Jan, 13.
