The upper and lower portions of the town visible beyond the bottom-land. Party of excursionists returning from a shell-gathering picnic on the sea beach reporting an immense success." Twelve dressed-up people walk in the grassy area between two buildings (a house and barn?). One person is mounted on a horse. Two cows graze nearby.
