Description
Interview of Jo Emmett Jennings by Erv Rasmussen, conducted July 9, 1963. Jennings founded Jennings Radio in 1942, which was later sold in the 1960s to ITT. An abstract of the interview indicates that Jennings talked about his work at Eitel-McCullough between 1927 and 1941; starting Jennings Radio right as the U.S. entered World War II; wartime contracts for capacitors, condensers and vacuum tubes; and later work with vacuum switches. He also documents objects he donated to Douglas Perham's collection of early electronics, now housed at History San Jose, covering Perham's inventory sheets numbers 14, 15 and 16.
