Photograph caption dated December 3, 1955 reads, "Sgt. Rex Servoss, veteran California Highway Patrol officer working out of the Newhall station, was succeeded by Edward Ward as president during 18th annual installation dinner held at the Elks Club in San Fernando. Servoss, left, is demoted to past president as Ward, second from left, assumes new duties. Others from left include George W. Lee, state secretary-treasurer of Chapter 52, California State Employes Association, and installing officer; Mrs. Betty Servoss, secretary; Jack Lucarelli, first vice president; M. E. Dewitt, second vice president, and William T. Lennox, sergeant at arms."
