The West Valley Baptist Hospital located at 5333 Balboa Boulevard in Encino was also known as the West Valley Community Hospital. Photograph caption dated March 20, 1964 partially reads, "Members of West Valley Baptist Hospital Guild are busy cleaning and decorating their new headquarters. The guild has acquired a cottage on the hospital grounds, 5333 Balboa Blvd., Encino. At work with mop, above, is Mrs. V. F. Simonick. Also helping clean-up are Mrs. Charles Du Vernet, front, and Mrs. Mike Feinberg. A recent housewarming featured a shower of household gifts to help furnish the cottage. Mrs. Lorraine Davidson, volunteer director, said that the headquarters will house the volunteer office and will be used for meetings, coffee breaks and rest periods."
