Description
Front: Photograph is of the Gillmore (sometimes "Gilmore") residence (also referred to as "Katama Orangewood"), located at the corner of Orange Grove Ave. and California St. It was the first two story house in Pasadena, with a wrap-around porch. Five people are in the photograph - three on the porch, one on the front stairs, and one on the ground in front of the porch. These are probably members of the Gillmore family. There are also a couple of horses hitched to a buggy, parked in front of the house. The land in front of the house is bare. Reverse: Written in ink: "Residence of Josiah Gillmore / S.E. Corner Orange Grove Ave. and California St. 1876 / Pasadena, Calif." Written underneath, in pencil: "Return to / P. G. Gillmore / 316 Berkshire Ave. / Pasadena, Cal."
