Photograph article dated January 23, 1959 reads, "Friendless fellow - He's Benny, a mixed-boxer and only two months old. He's typical of displaced dogs available for adoption at the San Fernando Shelter, 543 Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank Shelter at 2 W. Burbank Blvd., or the Los Angeles Shelter at 13131 Sherman Way, North Hollywood. Before you can bail him out, be prepared to pick up his tab for license fees and an anti-rabies shot."
