Description
Photograph of the high school building on Fort Moore Hill taken from the Nadeau Hotel on First Street and Hill Street, ca.1883. The two-story high school at Temple Street and Broadway can be see on the hill in the center distance, its clock tower apparently without hands. Below the hill, in the foreground, the roofs of many houses can be seen, with no apparent order or arrangement. A horse-drawn wagon parked in front of one at center reads "Church and Boal Groceries".
