Title transcribed from item. Signed on mount: "© Frederick Monsen." Monsen's typed label on back says: "New Mexico. Mesa Encantada (Spanish name); Katzimo (Indian name); Enchanted Mesa (English name). A precipitous rock rising 430 feet out of the level plain. Located about three miles N.E. from Acoma. According to tradition its summit was the site of a village which was rendered inaccessible owing to the breaking down of the trail." Written on label on back: "Gold Medal, British Photo Salon, 1912."
