"Photo by Frank Dusy, July, 1879, L.A.W. By formal vote we confirmed the Indian name for this superb rock "Te-hip-i-te" - meaning, in the Kings' River Indian dialect 'High Rock.' First photograph ever made of this dome. Made on old time wet-plate" -- handwritten on verso.
