One set of art reproductions from Art Extension Society. Each of these cards are from the "Artext Junior" series. There are 50 individual cards, many of which are duplicates. All of the cards are color, reproductions of works of art (primarily paintings) by artists from the United States and Europe. Printed below the image is the following information: name of series and number within; title; artist name and his or her birth and death dates; collection or museum name; country or educational 'school'; name of copyright holder, and card publisher. Some of the paintings (and artists) within this set are: "Galahad the Deliverer" by Edwin A. Abbey; "The Merchant Gisze" by Holbein; "Men Are Square" by Gerrit A. Beneker; "Dancing in a Ring" by Thoma; and "Consuelo" by Zuloaga. One use of these art reproduction cards was to introduce students to art of different cultures. The cards vary in size; they are roughly 3 x 5 in. each. Title supplied by cataloger.
