Description
Typed caption on reverse: "Old buildings on Market St. south of the Post Office (Library in the 1960s). Looking east to 1st St. The old building whose back is visible is on 1st between San Fernando & San Antonio. Summer 1962." Woman walking towards the camera in a blue, cap-sleeve dress with open neck and round collar, carrying a brown bag. Another woman is behind her wearing olive green trousers and a floral top. In the foreground are parking meters, with two large buildings looming behind the two women: the San Jose Hardware Company, and an ornate building painted red on the first floor and white on the upper floor with an arched entryway with two columns and above that an ornate window with faux balcony and red tiled roof.
