Photograph caption dated October 29, 1951 reads, "Melanie Johnson, 8, and her brother, Kim, 6, look at one of the windows in their Santa Monica home, which were broken by a mystery explosion today. A gang of bomb-manufacturing juvenile was blamed for the blast. It was the fifth such blast since Thursday."
