Photograph caption dated April 9, 1959 reads, "Baldy, a veteran motion picture actor of 15 years, eyes the Richard C. Craven trophy held by his owner, C. Y. Jones of North Hollywood. Award was made at recent American Humane Association's annual Patsy presentations. 'Actors have made more money falling off of Baldy than they have riding him,' Jones said. The horse specializes in rearing up."
