Description
The Electric Light Tower stood at the intersection of Market Street and Santa Clara Street. J. J. Owen, newspaper publisher, had the tower built in 1881. Looking west along Santa Clara, an electric trolley is seen sharing the road with horse drawn wagons. Clothing stores, a bank, the Rea Building and the Garden City Restaurant can be seen.
