Description
Photos of the June 1930 Santa Monica Pioneer Days celebration and parade, to commemorate pioneers who came to California by covered wagon in 1830. Photos show the parade through the city. Photo 9: four men dressed in western outfits ride on horses in front of a horse-drawn stagecoach, followed by others riding horses. Photo 10: crowds gather on the streets to watch as the parade passes by. A man dressed as an Indian chief poses atop his horse as a covered wagon passes behind him. Photo 11: Panoramic view of the crowds of people watching the parade travel down the main street of Santa Monica.
