Photograph of Mother Louis, Sister Superior, and two nuns at Mission San Carlos, Monterey, ca.1899. They are all wearing habits. Mother Louis has round spectacles (left). Her left hand fingers a cross hanging on a cord around her neck. The two other sisters hold their hands clasped in front of them and also have crosses hanging around their necks. They all stand in a stone carved entryway (the side entrance) outside.
