This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
View of Mayor James Rolph and thirteen other men riding a tractor-powered train on some tracks in a vacant lot. The Schussler Brothers factory at 326-338 Grove is visible at left, while Pacific Auto Painting at 226 Grove is nearby at the right, marking the location of this lot as the south side of Grove between Van Ness and Franklin. Rolph is sitting on the rear car of this train wearing a light-clored suit and a carnation on his lapel. None of the other men in the photo can be positively identified. Text written under photo: "Mayor Jas. Rolph & part of his official family. Just a short ride on Fordson."
