Photograph caption dated April 22, 1953 reads, "Susan Winslow, of China Lake in Mojave Desert, is seen in bed of wildflowers during trip to a remote desert canyon in search of wildflowers for eighth annual Desert Spring Flower Show, April 25-26 at ordnance test station at China Lake. The show will feature desert blossoms found in remote access." Winslow is the daughter of Sylvia Winslow, noted desert landscape artist.
