Description
Radio used by rum runners was found in this red-roofed house in the sunset district of San Francisco. On the walls were several code messages, including one reading, "Kessos, kechoh, hit short of lavis so fill in with kufod, isala, kicis, kindo, kisli." The words are believed to mean brands of liquor, first letters indicating amounts. Photo dated: December 11, 1931.
