Description
An unidentified artist finishes a painting of Napole´on Bonaparte and his soldiers. Born Napoleone Buonaparte (1769-1821), Napoleon I is said to be one of the greatest military leaders and one of the most celebrated personages in history. He held many titles: French general; First Consul of the French Republic; Emperor of the French; King of Italy; Mediator of the Swiss Confederation; and Protector of the Confederation of the Rhine. Aside from his numerous military achievements, Napole´on is also remembered for revolutionizing military organization and training, as well as establishing the Napoleonic Code. The location where this painting hangs may be the Carthay Circle Theatre.
