Man stands next to snow covered homes in Gibsonville. Gibsonville- At Gibson was thistle shaft mine wingate (supt.). Turned to right at La Porte for Port Wine and scales continued straight on form St. Louis Howland Flat and Gibson. Then on to Quincy. It went to about Sierra Valley from Port Wine but never to Quincy until later years. From Sierraville and Becwith Sp? [probably Becwourth or as it was sometimes called Beckwith]. Saw first Indians met train and went several miles a Rilla's sisters had never been on train. Twas here met Hams from SF whom we believed to be my father's uncle. HM
