Description
Photograph of the ruins of the Mission San Diego Acala seen from the rear, ca.1900. What appears to be the mission chapel is pictured at center, a cube of wooden framework leading to a door in what remains of the anterior wall. Of the side walls, only the one on the left remains, and both walls are eroding at their edges. To the right, a drift of sand swallows some of the remaining rubble, with a metal bell secured to the remains of a wall visible even farther right.
