Description
J Street at Fifth in the 1960's is dominated by the old Sacramento Bank Building now occupied by the Metropolitan Army and Navy Store (431 J Street). Cars are parked at the curb and a pedestrian is carrying his laundry wrapped in paper and hanging on hangers as he waits to cross Fifth Street. Fox Hotel (920 Fifth Street) and a cleaners storefront are visible as well.
