Photograph was edited for publication purposes. Photograph caption dated September 26, 1957 reads "One of Burbank's 19 municipal refuse trucks dumps rubbish in city's 30-acre cut and fill dump area. More than 1,000 yards of trash are deposited in dump each day. Residents can line curb with as much trash as necessary as long as bundles do not exceed weight and size limitations. Burbank city officials are convinced that trash pickup service that has been in operation for eight years has helped reduce smog problem." See image 00155138 for additional photo in this series.
