Photograph of a letter written by Juan Maria Osuna, representing the bill of sale for his home, 1846. The letter, written in Spanish with cursive script, is two paragraphs long and begins "[...] de las perdidas que tuvo [...]". The letter is identified by the picture file card as having been written by Osuna to American authorities, asking for reparations for damages occasioned by the occupation of his house in San Diego by American forces.
