Description
Writer Anita Loos writes GBH, thanking her for the obituary she sent about her husband John Emerson. She describes the time leading up to Charles MacArthur's death. She is unsure if Helen Hayes will now want to perform the play they had almost completed before her husband died. She is happy about Aldous Huxley's marriage and has met his new wife, but does not quite understand the romance. Her play Gigi has been doing well in England. She spent the before day with Lillian Gish, the Bemelmans, and Helen Hayes. There is rain today for Charles MacArthur's funeral, which will make it even sadder. Soon Helen will be taking her son James out to California to start his film career. With envelope.
