Description
The woman wears a yellow dinner party dress with a low, square neckline. The sleeves of the dress are white and puffed in a moderate leg-of-mutton style. Two rows of lace edge the top of the shoulders. The cuffs are yellow and delicately patterned. The dress has a yellow sash tied in a bow at the waist and four wide bands of yellow trim at the hem. The woman wears white shoes, stockings, and gloves. She holds the ends of a fringed white shawl that is striped in pink and wrapped over her shoulders. Her short necklace is made of alternating gold beads and bars, and her long, teardrop earrings are pearl. She stands on a parquet floor. "1811-1845" has been written in pencil under the printed text.
