Description
Photograph caption dated March 3, 1958 reads "Blades whirl overhead as big helicopter lifts hefty load of mixed cement weighing 2,700 pounds en route to tower construction site in Santa Susana Mountains. Cement is poured from chute which hangs at bottom of metal bucket. Footings for one steel tower take just minutes to pour." The Southern California Edison Company is linking Saugus and Chatsworth with a 66,000 volt transmission line. See images 00155775 through 00155778 for all photos in this series.
