Photograph caption dated November 16, 1956 reads, "John Burroughs High School's Indian raiders go after the CIF Foothill League football championship tonight when they battle the Burbank Bulldogs for all the wampum on Burroughs' Memorial gridiron. Both clubs are undefeated in league play and tonight's 'natural' is expected to bulge the stadium to the bursting point as fans by the thousands battle to get in on the doings."
