Description
This 1937 photograph reveals a room within Sutter's Fort, located at Twenty-Seventh and L Streets. Displayed are artifacts true to the installation's historic origins: the furniture and woodwook is rough hewn, a rack on the wall displays a collection of seashells, and an open book with quill pen nearby on the desk. Firewood and an open hearth occupy the left side of the frame.
