Photograph of an exterior view of the Stockton courthouse, ca.1900. The majestic Romanesque building is three stories high and has a massive domed tower in the middle. A large archway is visible over the doorway at center The tower has at least two stories, while a statue of a woman stands at the peak of the dome. There are rows of vertical rectangular windows along the perimeter of each of the three stories of the courthouse. A four-story brick building is in the background at left. Many early-model automobiles are lined up in front of the courthouse and are facing the viewer.
