Photograph caption dated July 4, 1961 reads "Making presentation is A. B. Clark, president of Tarzana Chamber." The article partially reads "Hoffman, president of the North American Aviation facility in Canoga Park, and Dixon, vice president of research and engineering, were cited by the three chambers because they jointly received, earlier this year, the Louis W. Hill Space Transportation Award. The two West Valley men received a $10,000 honorarium for their part in developing liquid propellant rocket engines that have shoved U.S. missiles into space."
