Photograph of a painting depicting the "The Shepherdess", Henri Le Rolle showing a shepherdess with a flock of sheep, ca. 1900. A women stands at the right with a long, dark skirt and corset and the sleeves of her lightly-colored shirt rolled up to her shoulders. Her hair is tied in a bun and she can be seen leaning a stick with a cloth draped over it on her right shoulder. One sheep follows her on the right while the rest are grouped behind her. Many trees stand in a sporadic line on the left and another women can be seen working behind them.
