Description
George Pavia talks about the history of the now closed Rancho Seco Nuclear Power Plant located in Ione, California. Topics may include plant safety, environmental concerns, down time due to technical problems resulting in increased cost to SMUD users, organizational structure and relationship of managers, staff and contractors, closed board meetings, and plant operations that were eventually closed down by voters. George Pavia was an Electrical and Communications Engineer with SMUD.
