Photograph caption date stamped March 18, 1965 reads, "Craig Newman, a one-man track team from Monroe High, is shown busting the tape in an early meet. In addition to running in two sprint events, Newman usually competes in the long jump. Tomorrow Monroe hosts San Fernando."
