Photograph caption reads: "Two North Hollywood youngsters stop at Lankershim Boulevard and Oxnard Street to look at a "snow man" that bore this sign: "To our foe Castro. We wish you could melt away like the snow." No one admitted constructing the crushed ice Castro, but a passerby did notice an ice house at nearby Lankershim Boulevard and Tiara Street and wondered aloud "If the ice man at the ice house built the snow man."
