Photograph caption dated April 10, 1950 reads, "Mrs. Elizabeth Ripley, librarian, says new addition to Burbank Central Library will probably be placed in use in matter of weeks. Wing, erected at cost of $41,400, provides 4000 square feet of extra space to facility at 425 E. Olive Ave. Wing will allow expansion of reference room, workshop, children's reading club and allow for larger book stock."
