Title supplied by cataloger. Written in ink on back: "Valle, Reginaldo F del." Stamped on back: "Mrs. Henry F. Grady 4-1953 CHS." Reginaldo del Valle was a prominent Mexican American politician and civil servant. He served in the Calif. State Assembly (1879-1880) and Senate (1882-1886). He was a member of the Board of Water and Power Commissioners for the City of Los Angeles (1908-1929) and was instrumental in the construction of the Owens River aqueduct. Del Valle was the son of Ygnacio Ramon de Jesus del Valle, an early California rancher and alcalde of Los Angeles. He died on September 20, 1938.
