Photograph caption dated July 1, 1965, reads, "U.S. Sen. George Murphy (R-Calif.) greets new addition to his Washington staff, Jim Johnson. Son of Mrs. Lorna Johnson, North Hollywood, the young appointee graduated from North Hollywood HIgh School, where he was class valedictorian, and from Occidental College in Los Angeles."
