Description
Photograph of Jack Benny show being broadcasted as seen from the control room Studio A, NBC Studios, ca.1935-1936. In the extreme foreground at center, a man can be seen in a small box lined with control panels. His hands appear to be grasping the controls on the panels. At center, two men are visible sitting near a piano. To his left, a microphone can be seen on a stand. In the extreme background at right, two men can be seen standing near a group of microphones. To the left of the men, a seated audience is visible. Additional information: "the man standing up at the far upper right corner is the Jack Benny program's long-time announcer Don Wilson. It's not clear enough to see who the man at the microphone who is partially obscured by the piano is, but it's probably Jack Benny. The man playing the piano is band leader Johnny Green. His presence narrows the date down to 1935-36 because he was only with the show for that one season" -- Mr. John Marcus, 2016-02-23.
