Description
Taken from the southwest corner of Seventh and I streets, this 1956 photograph shows the front and side of the Sacramento County Administration Building at 827 Seventh St. The structure was completed that same year for nearly $2 million by the Stolte Construction Company of Oakland. Its design was crafted by Sacramento-based architect Harry Devine. The County Welfare Department was the first tenant of building, taking up residence in February 1956.
